Ducati Unveils 2026 Multistrada V4 RS: True Performance Touring

Ducati kicked off its World Première 2026 series this week with the debut of the Multistrada V4 RS, the most aggressive and refined Multistrada yet. Ducati calls it “the sportiest tourer of all time,” and it’s hard to argue against the mix of race-bred performance and long-haul practicality that defines this new model.

Distinctively Multistrada with RS Flair

The V4 RS immediately stands out with its exclusive RS Livery, a bold paint scheme limited to this model alone. Striking graphics sweep across black and silver fairings, accented by gold Ohlin front fork tubes for a look that blends elegance with racing aggression.

An exclusive RS identity underscores the bike’s limited status. The RS logo, created by Ducati’s Centro Stile, features prominently on the livery and dash graphics. Each bike carries a numbered plate in black anodized aluminum, finished with the Italian flag and mounted on the steering plate—a refined detail that adds both authenticity and prestige.

Premium materials reinforce the impression of exclusivity. A titanium rear subframe and aluminum single-sided swingarm highlight Ducati’s commitment to both strength and weight reduction, while carbon-fiber components, including the hand guards, front “beak,” and heat shields, add both sophistication and performance. Marchesini forged wheels round out a design that is as distinctive as it is purposeful, ensuring the RS will be instantly recognized as the pinnacle of the Multistrada family.

Supersport DNA on a Touring Platform

At its heart, the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine unleashes 180 horsepower with the unmistakable character of Ducati’s race machines. Paired with a dry clutch, counter-rotating crankshaft, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, the RS delivers adrenaline-fueled acceleration and razor-sharp handling.

The chassis is equally performance-driven, featuring Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension with four distinct modes (Track, Dynamic, Touring, and Low Grip), Brembo Stylema brakes, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires. Ducati Vehicle Observer technology, borrowed from MotoGP, constantly monitors dynamic forces to fine-tune systems like Cornering ABS and Wheelie Control.

Practicality hasn’t been forgotten either: Ducati recommends a 30,000 km valve clearance service interval, giving owners reassurance that the RS is engineered for durability as well as speed.

State of the Art Electronics & Rider Aids

Ducati equipped the V4 RS with one of the most comprehensive electronics packages in its class. Radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection come standard, along with Forward Collision Warning for added peace of mind on busy highways.

Riders can choose from five Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet) and four Power Modes to tailor performance. Suspension strategies can now be set independently of ride modes, offering more flexibility for different road conditions.

Other highlights include Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 for seamless gear changes, Ducati Brake Light EVO that flashes under hard braking, and full LED lighting with Cornering Lights that improve visibility through turns. A Vehicle Hold Control system makes uphill starts safer and more convenient, especially when riding two-up or fully loaded. Smartphone integration via Ducati Connect rounds out the package.

Comfort and Practicality for the Long Ride

The V4 RS may lean toward performance, but Ducati built it to go the distance. The Performance Touring configuration equips the bike with side cases, a top case, center stand, and heated grips. The panniers are finished with color-matched panels and offer 35 liters on the left and 25 liters on the right, each with a 10-kg load limit and stable feet to keep them upright when detached.

For comfort, riders can choose among multiple seat options, including heated rider and passenger seats in higher and lower positions. Add in three-level heated grips, and the RS is well-prepared for year-round travel.  Ducati also offers a Ducati-branded Zumo XT2 navigation unit with dedicated mounting bracket that many sport touring riders will appreciate on extended journeys.

A True Performance Tourer

The 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is a bold statement: a motorcycle that fuses supersport DNA with the practicality of a long-distance machine. It’s a rare blend of agility, comfort, and technology—designed for riders who want it all. MSRP has not yet been announced, but details will emerge as Ducati continues its World Première 2026 series.
