Motorcycle security just got a serious upgrade. Hiplok, the British brand known for innovative bike and motorcycle locks, has announced two new additions to its Moto range – the MD1000 and the MDX. Both bring compact, easy-to-carry protection designed for riders who demand real-world security wherever their travels take them.

MD1000: Anti-Grinder Protection in a Compact Form
The new MD1000 introduces Hiplok’s award-winning anti-angle grinder technology to a disc lock for the first time. Weighing just one kilogram and measuring 105mm x 82mm x 35mm, it combines high-level protection with portability for everyday use.
Certified Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond and ART 4*, the MD1000 includes an anti-pick, anti-drill locking cylinder and comes with three keys, a durable carry case, and Hiplok’s magnetic reminder tags to help prevent accidental ride-offs.
Sold Secure and ART are independent certification organizations that test and rate security products for resistance to real-world theft attacks. The Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond rating is the highest standard for motorcycle locks, while ART 4* signifies strong all-around protection recognized across Europe.
Available in black or neon yellow, the MD1000 can also be keyed alike with Hiplok’s DX1000 D lock – handy for riders who want one key for multiple locks. It joins the company’s 1000 Series, which also includes the D1000, DX1000, AX1000, and A1000 – each using Hiplok’s grinder-resistant technology for maximum defense against attack.

MDX: Everyday Security with Hardened Steel
Sharing the same size and locking system, the MDX uses hardened steel construction to deliver solid, practical protection at a lower price point. Rated Sold Secure Powered Cycle Gold and ART 4*, it’s designed for daily use and finished in black with a magnetic reminder tag included.
