Write for American Sport Touring
At American Sport Touring, we cover the passion, freedom, and practical realities of sport touring for riders who seek memorable roads, worthwhile destinations, capable motorcycles, useful gear, and riding knowledge that helps them travel farther, safer, and with more confidence. If you have a story idea that can inform and inspire the sport touring community, from ride reports and gear reviews to motorcycle ownership perspectives, ridecraft, and touring experience, we invite you to become a contributor.
Why Contribute?
Contributing to American Sport Touring is a chance to share your expertise in a way that helps other riders discover better roads, choose better gear, improve their ridecraft, or better understand the motorcycles and places that define sport touring. It also gives your work additional visibility with a focused audience of sport touring riders, while helping you gain further recognition as a writer, photographer, rider, or industry voice.
What We Publish
American Sport Touring invites contributor submissions in several areas, including:
- Destination features and ride reports
- Motorcycle reviews, ownership impressions, and model comparisons
- Gear reviews and product insights
- Ridecraft, riding technique, and rider-development articles
- Touring tips, route planning, packing, maintenance, and travel advice
- Perspectives on motorcycle technology, events, industry news, and the sport touring lifestyle
We are particularly interested in articles that resonate with real-world riders: stories with a clear point of view, practical details, and an understanding of what matters to sport touring motorcyclists.
Submission Guidelines
Articles should run 600 to 1,200 words, though we will consider shorter or longer articles when the subject warrants it.
Photos are strongly encouraged. Images should support the story by showing the road, destination, motorcycle, gear, or topic context.
Submissions may be original or previously published elsewhere, provided the contributor has the right to publish or republish the submitted written text and any accompanying images.
Articles should be accurate, clearly written, and relevant to sport touring riders. American Sport Touring may edit submissions for clarity, length, grammar, formatting, headline style, and alignment with our editorial voice.
How to Pitch
Send a short summary of your article idea along with a few words about your background, riding experience, and any relevant writing or photography experience. Published samples are helpful but not required.
We’re looking for contributors who can inform, entertain, and connect with fellow sport touring riders.
