Sena Technologies has announced the 60X, a new premium motorcycle communication system that adds Sound by Bose technology, a lower-profile design, updated rider controls, wireless charging, and two included helmet clamp kits.

The Irving, Texas-based company said the 60X builds on its flagship communication platform with a sleeker form factor and features aimed at making the device easier to use across different riding situations. For sport touring riders, the most relevant updates appear to be the audio system, glove-friendly controls, multi-helmet mounting convenience, and Qi-compatible wireless charging.

Key Features

  • Sound by Bose Technology: The 60X uses Bose’s WaveForm Audio Engine and SoundDesign Tuning, which Sena says are tuned for the motorcycle environment. For long-distance riders, the focus is improved clarity for intercom conversations, navigation prompts, and music across varied riding conditions.
  • Low-Profile Design: Sena describes the 60X as having a sleek, modern profile that integrates with a wide range of motorcycle helmets. For riders who spend long days at highway speeds, a cleaner helmet-mounted profile is a meaningful refinement.
  • Joystick Control: The new joystick-style interface is designed for operation with motorcycle gloves, helping riders manage communication and audio functions with less distraction.
  • Custom Buttons: Two programmable buttons allow riders to assign frequently used functions for quicker access, which may be useful when switching between navigation, music, or rider-to-rider communication.
  • Two Universal Clamp Kits Included: Sena includes two helmet clamp kits with each 60X, allowing the headset module to move between compatible helmets without buying extra mounting hardware. That is especially useful for riders who alternate between touring, sport, commuting, or adventure helmets.
  • Qi-Compatible Wireless Charging: Wireless charging support gives riders another way to keep the unit charged at home, in the garage, or on the road, while reducing cable clutter.
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty: Sena says the 60X is backed by its Limited Lifetime Warranty, adding a long-term ownership point for riders considering a premium communication system.

The 60X uses Sound by Bose technology, including Bose’s WaveForm Audio Engine and SoundDesign Tuning, which Sena says is tuned specifically for the motorcycle environment. The company says the system is intended to improve sound quality and clarity for rider communication, navigation prompts, and music during long-distance rides.

Sena has also changed the control interface. The 60X introduces a Joystick Control system designed for use with motorcycle gloves, along with two programmable Custom Buttons that allow riders to assign frequently used functions. That could matter on a touring day, when repeated access to intercom, navigation, or audio controls can become part of the rhythm of the ride.

The company is also addressing a common issue for riders who use more than one helmet. Sena says every 60X will include two Universal Clamp Kits, allowing the headset module to be moved between compatible helmets without requiring a separate mounting kit. Sena positions that as a practical solution for riders who alternate between touring, sport, commuting, or adventure setups.

Wireless charging is another notable addition. The 60X supports Qi-compatible wireless charging, giving riders another way to keep the unit charged at home, in the garage, or while traveling. Sena says the feature is intended to reduce cable clutter and simplify day-to-day ownership.

The 60X is also covered by Sena’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. Sena said the warranty reflects its commitment to durability and long-term rider confidence.

Sena said the 60X will be available through its global dealer network and online sales channels. The company did not list pricing in the announcement. For more information visit Sena.com.
