Sena has introduced the PRISM 2, a new motorcycle-focused action camera that combines 4K video recording with the ability to capture conversations directly from the company’s Mesh Intercom network.

Announced August 11, the PRISM 2 records 4K Ultra HD video at 30 frames per second and 20-megapixel still images, with electronic image stabilization to help reduce vibration and movement while riding. But its distinguishing feature is its integration with Sena’s communication system: riders can record conversations from Open Mesh or Group Mesh sessions directly to the camera without additional cables, adapters, or audio-recording hardware.

That capability could be useful not only for riders documenting group trips, but also for solo riders who want to narrate their own journey. Rather than recording only road footage and ambient sound, PRISM 2 can capture either intercom conversations among riders or a rider’s spoken commentary during the ride.

The camera supports both Mesh Intercom 2.0 and Mesh Intercom 3.0 and allows users to select a Mesh channel for recording. Audio can also be captured through the camera’s internal microphone or a connected Bluetooth headset. Sena says its Advanced Noise Control technology is used to reduce wind and environmental noise in recorded communications.

Built for Motorcycle Use

Sena designed PRISM 2 for use in changing riding conditions. The camera carries an IPX7 waterproof rating and uses a magnetic locking mount that allows it to be moved between mounting positions.

Two LCD displays provide access to camera settings and recording status. A 2.4-inch main display is supplemented by a 1.4-inch secondary screen. Built-in Wi-Fi and Sena’s Camera+ smartphone app allow riders to preview footage, manage recorded files, and share content wirelessly.

For sport touring riders, the combination could have practical appeal beyond conventional action-camera use. Multi-day rides and group tours often combine road footage with ongoing intercom communication, and integrating those two elements into a single recording system could simplify documenting a trip.

The Sena PRISM 2 is available now through Sena dealers and the company’s website, with a suggested retail price of $349.
