Suzuki Announces 2027 Hayabusa Colors and Special Edition

Suzuki continues to emphasize performance in its 2027 motorcycle lineup, and the Hayabusa bears witness to that commitment.

While the Hayabusa is not a traditional sport touring motorcycle, its combination of formidable performance, aerodynamic bodywork, electronic rider aids, cruise control, and long-distance capability gives Suzuki an onramp to the hyper-sport touring market. In that respect, it occupies territory comparable to the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX, where extreme performance is paired with equipment intended to make road trips more practical.

Suzuki has announced the returning 2027 Hayabusa with two standard color choices and a new Special Edition. The release does not mention significant mechanical changes, making distinctive colorways and Special Edition appearance package the central news for 2027.

Hayabusa Base Package

The standard 2027 Hayabusa carries forward the model’s 1,340cc inline-four engine, established chassis, and distinctive aerodynamically shaped bodywork. Suzuki says the engine delivers broad torque and strong acceleration, while the chassis is designed to balance precise handling with stability and composure.

The motorcycle also includes the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, or S.I.R.S., which provides a collection of electronic rider aids and adjustable performance settings. A bi-directional quickshifter and Suzuki’s Smart Cruise Control system are standard, adding useful functionality for both spirited riding and longer highway trips.

Braking equipment includes Brembo Stylema front calipers and Suzuki’s Motion Track Brake System. The Hayabusa’s electronics package helps riders manage the motorcycle’s substantial performance across varying roads and riding conditions.

For 2027, the standard Hayabusa is available in Glass Sparkle Black or Metallic Reflective Blue. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $19,699.

A Hyper-Sport Touring Alternative

Suzuki has not described the Hayabusa as a sport touring model, and its design remains firmly rooted in the company’s high-performance sportbike heritage. Nevertheless, cruise control, refined power delivery, wind-cheating bodywork, substantial road presence, and advanced rider assistance systems give it genuine relevance for riders interested in the more performance-focused side of long-distance motorcycling.
