American Honda today unveiled three new additions for the 2025 model year—the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP naked bikes, and the much-anticipated NT1100 DCT. The NT1100 DCT is a sport-touring motorcycle built for riders who crave long-distance comfort without sacrificing performance. Already a favorite in Europe, it pairs a 1,084cc parallel-twin engine with a six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) for smooth, responsive power delivery. With its balance of agility and touring capability, the NT1100 adds an exciting new option to the sport-touring category.

We know American customers have been eager to see these exciting new models in the U.S., and we’re pleased to finally be able to confirm their availability here,” said Colin Miller, Manager of Experiential Marketing at American Honda. “The CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP carry on the legacy of the legendary CB name in the U.S., and we’re confident that our customers will be captivated by their capabilities. In addition, as the most popular sport-touring bike in Europe, the NT1100 DCT will extend and expand the tradition of touring Honda offerings.

The 2025 Honda NT1100 is a sport-touring machine built for riders who demand versatility, comfort, and a touch of sportbike agility. Honda describes it as a straightforward yet feature-rich motorcycle, equally capable of handling the weekday commute as it is tackling extended, fully loaded tours. Designed to resonate with riders who fondly remember Honda’s sport-touring machines of the past while also appealing to a younger generation, the NT1100 blends familiar elements with modern engineering for an engaging, well-rounded riding experience.

At the heart of the NT1100 is the same 1,084cc parallel-twin engine that powers Honda’s legendary Africa Twin. Tuned for refined midrange performance, this liquid-cooled four-stroke delivers a balance of smooth, characterful power and efficiency. With a 10.5:1 compression ratio and Honda’s advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system, the NT1100 offers responsive throttle control, whether navigating urban streets or charging through sweeping curves. Riders can choose between a traditional manual transmission or Honda’s six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT), which delivers seamless, clutch-free shifting for effortless performance on long rides.

Built for both comfort and control, the NT1100 features a well-balanced chassis and premium suspension components. A 43mm inverted Showa SFF-BP telescopic fork up front and a Pro-Link® single Showa shock in the rear provide 5.9 inches of travel at both ends, ensuring a plush ride without sacrificing agility. The bike’s radial-mounted four-piston calipers and dual 310mm hydraulic front discs, paired with a 256mm rear disc, deliver strong, confident braking with standard ABS. Rolling on 17-inch radial tires—120/70 at the front and 180/55 at the rear—the NT1100 provides a planted, stable feel at all speeds.

Aerodynamic bodywork offers wind protection without excess bulk, while optional detachable saddlebags add practicality for longer journeys. Weighing in at 547 pounds with a full tank of fuel, the NT1100 is substantial enough for highway stability yet agile enough for spirited backroad riding.
